A legendary player is going to retire from international cricket soon. The batsman, who has been delivering the six sixes of the bowlers on his stern batting, has announced his retirement. After playing the third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he will say goodbye to cricket.

Pietersen was born to Associate in Nursing Afrikaner father and English mother in Pietermaritzburg, Natal Province, the African nation. He created his fantabulous debut for Natal in 1997 before moving to a European country in 2000, once registration his vexation at the racial quota system in South African cricket. Being of English ancestry, Pietersen was eligible for the Britain team farewell as he 1st served a four-year qualifying amount in English county cricket. He was referred to as up by European country shortly once he completed four years with Nottinghamshire.

Talking about Pietersen's international career, he played 104 Tests, 136 ODIs and 37 T20 matches for England. Pietersen has scored 8,181 runs in his Test career with 23 centuries and 35 half-centuries. He scored 4,442 runs in 134 ODIs at an average of 41.32. Pietersen has scored 9 hundreds and 25 half-centuries in one-day cricket. From England, Pietersen is the only third batsman to have scored more than 1,000 runs in international T20 matches.
