Supreme Court Rejects Zohar Scene in Padmavati Movie


The court refused to do so and said that once a film made by the sensor could not be sorted out of any kind. Rupeshkumar Gupta, Mumbai The Supreme Court has refused to delete the scene of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Padmavat Johar saying that once the censor board has passed the film, no one can remove it. 

The Bench of three judges, led by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice Deepak Mishra, has rejected the petition filed against Padmavat. It is worth noting that social activist Swami Agnivesh had accused the Zawhar custom of filming in the film and appealed to the court to remove the scene that was promoting it, but the court refused to do so saying that once Any kind of harvesting can not be sorted in the film near the sensor. It is worth mentioning that the film was already quite controversial before the release of Padmavat. Even the film's director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was assaulted on the set and there was riot and arson during the shoot. Later, the censor board approved the release of the film with five conditions, in which Padmavati was renamed to Padmavate. 

During the film's release, there were fierce performances across the country, but the film was released on January 25 and collected more than 300 million collections. Bhansali's Padmavat is the story of Queen Padmini of Chittod, which was performed by Deepika Padukone. Shahid Kapoor became Maharajal Ratan Singh while Ranvir Singh, Alauddin Khilji.
