IIFA 2018: Anupam Kher Will Receive Lifetime Achievement Award


Anupam Kher was born on 7 March 1955, he is a greatest Indian actor and also took the post of current Chairman of Film and Television Institute of India. He is the recipient of two National Film Awards and eight Filmfare Awards. He performed the great role in over 500 films in several different languages and various plays. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his acting in Saaransh (1984). He holds the record for winning the Filmfare Award for the profile of Best Comedian five times in total for Ram Lakhan, Lamhe, Khel, Darr and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. He got the National Film Award for Special Mention twice for his performances in Daddy and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara. For his performance in the film Vijay, he got the Filmfare Award for the Best Supporting Actor.



Veteran actor Anupam Kher will be honored with the 19th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Award in Bangkok this month for his outstanding achievement and outstanding contributions to Indian cinema. Anupam said in the statement, "I am proud to be part of our film industry which has been very generous in expressing love and warmth towards me. My 34 years of work has helped me to achieve outstanding achievement and at such a time I have helped when the artists of my age are getting lifetime achievement award. I would like to work for 34 years in Indian and international cinema and new and exciting I would like to get opportunities. "

He said, "There is a sense of responsibility with every such award, against which I promise to be committed to international film as a representative of our film industry and our country."

Anupam, who has worked in more than 500 films, including international films, started his career with the film 'Summary' in 1984. For contribution to the field of cinema and art, the actor was awarded Padma Shri in 2004 and Padma Bhushan in 2016. The IIFA Awards will be held from June 21 to June 24.
